In 2008, AIP was selected by Chickasha Public Schools to continue improvements on the High School Campus that reflect the design of the recently completed Chickasha Fine Arts Center. The design of the Fine Arts Center was a departure from the existing campus and responded to current regional aesthetics and community expectations. The new building immediately became a source of pride for the community and was the inspiration that led to the renovation of other buildings on the high school campus.
The ambitious second and third phases addressed the needs of the school with campus-wide improvements to the main high school, satellite buildings, roofs, mechanical/electrical and life safety systems, building additions, cosmetic improvements and the reuse of existing spaces. The 6.5 million dollar renovation included: a science lab addition, administration addition/renovation, student commons addition, renovation to add six new classrooms for ninth-grade students, interior renovations including corridors and lockers, re-roof of the main building and a new front entry/gathering space.
