AIP assisted Amber-Pocasset Public Schools in passing a bond issue for a new high school gymnasium, an elementary classroom building and kitchen/cafeteria renovation.
The district was in need of adequate space for special education, as well as lower elementary classes, which were currently being held in portable buildings. The newly designed elementary building houses seven new classrooms that provide ample space for a variety of curriculums, including designated teacher work rooms, special education and early childhood education.
AIP also designed a new 1000-seat gymnasium to replace the 1950’s original. The facility features 450 chair back seats and an 1800sf FEMA rated safe room. There are separate locker rooms for both girls and boys home/visitor teams, official’s locker rooms and a laundry room. New restrooms and a lobby tie directly to the high school cafeteria, making this new gymnasium a multifunctional facility capable of hosting tournament play, school activities and community events.
