Bryan County Commissioners selected Architects In Partnership to design a new Health Department for Bryan County. The modern facility replaced the existing building which the department had outgrown.
To optimize its function, the building is organized with four wings arranged symmetrically around a core. This central area contains the waiting area, administrative center, staff support spaces, and a 150-seat community room. The design allows the staff to receive patients and direct them to the appropriate wing with minimal travel and confusion.
To the east is the Guidance Wing for counseling services. To the west is the standard healthcare wing containing exam rooms, nurses’ offices, and a small medical laboratory. The back wings contain an employee break room, restrooms, and health department offices for programs like Environmental Health and Children First. The four wings are designed to allow for future expansion to accommodate the growing population of Bryan County.
