Lawton Eisenhower Middle School

Lawton, OK

AIP was commissioned by Lawton Public Schools to design and promote projects for their 2017 Lawton Can Bond Issue. This bond initiative included the construction of new safe rooms, across multiple school campuses and a state-of-the-art middle school to replace the outdated Eisenhower Middle School.

The new middle school is a cutting-edge facility thoughtfully designed to support both academic and extracurricular pursuits. Key features include a 1,500-seat auditorium, a 1,000-seat competition gymnasium, a 300-seat practice gymnasium, and FEMA-certified shelter spaces to ensure  student and staff safety during severe weather. Spanning 155,609 square feet, the school’s two-story classroom wing houses 30 modern classrooms.

Additionally the campus features a vibrant student commons area, fostering collaboration and a sense of community among students. These amenities underscore the school’s dedication to providing a safe, dynamic, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
